Was Traci Lords the first to the infamous industry?

Or is she the last? Traci Lords came first to be known for a mistake she committed. She couldn’t take her forged documents at her workplace and on examination her real age was discovered.

She was a worker in the pornography industry. By now when the “Beaver Street” by Robert Rosen has brought a grim picture of the industry, people are getting accustomed to take such issues seriously.

When she was discovered to have performed in so many porn movies while being a minor; the issue in media was given a surging hype. This was due to their need to hover around in the markets. Traci since then is known for the scandal associated with her name. It was portrayed as a scandal in the media that a minor was working in the porn industry.

infamous industry

There are two issues to take exception. The first: if scandals are defined as something which take place beyond the law, why was it only Traci who was related with the scandal. Why the plight and the exploitation of the workers in this industry was not made news of mass-scandal by the media.

The second: Who will pay for the tarnishing of the image of a citizen who should be least known for what she is most known for? And she has paid for the news of Traci scandal whole her life.

To succeed in Hollywood is really a tough task, she says. And for one with her image so tarnished it is ten-fold difficult, she has repeatedly shared in her statements and interviews.

The question is when the so-called scandal was long back made public, why the plight of the industry had to wait for the daring effort by Robert Rosen for that long which uncovered a few layers of the hidden world of the porn industry?

The answer is the whole of the world including media and the bureaucracy are running behind money. And in this regard they are no different than the infamous industry.

I am not glorifying the industry. Rather the rest of the shining world is in its content as dark as the porn industry itself.

If this is not the case, can you assure that Traci Lords was the first and the last minor to work in the infamous industry?
